Kim CecereKim’s mom has saved all her stories she wrote back in grade school. “Are you sure they’re fiction?” Kim asks, incredulously. “Of course they are, and very creative,” mom assures.

Kim’s always had a penchant for storytelling. Those early creative stories from grade school turned into “straight news” when she took her first journalism class in high school. As a dual journalism and public relations major at Northern Arizona University, Kim applies her “reporter instinct” to uncover the stories that make a company tick— whether their products, services or people—to create positive awareness and influence perception.

That said, being a professional communicator has opened many doors for Kim and given her the opportunity to immerse herself in and write about a range of subject matter and industries from consumer lifestyle products and services, to healthcare and financial services, retail design, technology and book publishing.

Kim’s professional path has led her to writing-intensive, director-level roles in corporate communications and PR. And as fate (and a few good leaders and creative colleagues) would have it, marketing communications and brand strategy. Along the way, she’s fallen in love with the creative process and gained expertise in developing and managing content, brands and reputations for a variety of businesses. She’s thrilled to be part of the BookSparks team, collaborating with talented authors to spark conversations about their books and drive results!
